KAM

System Optimization & Digital Refinement for Medical Device Brand
1/10 Project Overview
KAM is a high-performance CPAP system brand operating in the medical device space.

The project focused on refining and optimizing the existing brand and digital ecosystem — improving website architecture, UI consistency, and packaging execution while maintaining alignment with the established visual system.

Role: Design Lead — Web & System Optimization
Scope: Website redesign, UI refinement, packaging design, system alignment
Focus: System consistency, usability improvement, cross-touchpoint cohesion
Market: United States
Stage: Product in development
Duration: 2023–2024
2/10 The Challenge
The brand already had:
• A defined color system (black/red)
• An existing design system
• Working web and product interfacesHowever, the ecosystem lacked:
• Hierarchical clarity in digital interfaces
• Visual consistency across web, mobile, and packaging
• Structured component logic
• Cohesive product presentationThe challenge was not to reinvent — but to refine and strengthen the system.
3/10 Strategic Approach
The objective was not to redesign the brand from scratch, but to strengthen system clarity and cohesion across digital and physical touchpoints.

The approach focused on:
• Preserving existing brand equity while improving structural logic
• Reducing visual noise and improving hierarchy
• Aligning web, mobile, and packaging under a unified component system
• Enhancing perceived technical precision through spacing, contrast, and layout refinement

Rather than introducing new visual language, the goal was to elevate performance through systematic optimization.

The focus was to improve structural clarity and performance perception without disrupting existing brand equity.
4/10 Design Leadership & Ownership
I led the end-to-end redesign of the website — from information architecture to final UI execution.

Oversaw refinement of UI components across web and mobile interfaces to ensure consistency and usability.

Aligned packaging structure and graphic execution with the digital visual system.

Managed the transition from concept improvements to production-ready assets — including dieline adjustments and interface iterations.
5/10 Key Decisions
• Reworked website structure to improve content hierarchy and product clarity
• Refined red/black contrast system for stronger brand consistency
• Unified UI components across web and mobile
• Improved interface legibility and spacing logic
• Structured packaging layout to better communicate technical positioning

The goal was to elevate perceived performance and precision without disrupting the existing brand equity.
6/10 Website & Digital Ecosystem
The website was redesigned to:
• Improve product storytelling
• Simplify navigation
• Strengthen visual hierarchy
• Align interface components with brand logic

Component structure was refined to create a more modular and scalable system.
7/10 Interface Refinement
Multiple interface variations were tested to evaluate:
• Information density
• Data readability
• Interaction clarity

The final system prioritized clarity and usability while maintaining high-performance visual aesthetics.
8/10 Packaging & Physical Product
Packaging execution focused on:
• Structural clarity
• Production-ready dieline refinement
• Alignment with digital identity
• Consistent color and typography logic

The packaging now reinforces the technical positioning of the product while maintaining premium presence.
9/10 System Thinking
This project was less about visual reinvention and more about system optimization.

By aligning web, interface, and packaging elements, the brand now operates as a cohesive ecosystem rather than separate design outputs.
10/10 Outcome
• Improved visual and structural consistency across digital and physical touchpoints
• Strengthened brand perception in a competitive medical device market
• Established clearer system logic for future product and interface expansion
• Aligned digital and physical systems under a cohesive performance-driven architecture.
